Maybe, but then it wouldn't really be a woodwind quintet. A classic woodwind quintet includes flute, bassoon, clarinet, oboe, and French horn.

A trombone has a slide, which other brass instruments lack.

Typically it comes from alot of practice (years and years worth as I've been playing for 5 or so years and I'm just beginning to develop a good sound). But the technique is to keep your jaw low and your mouth open. Take a deep breath from the gut and use alot of warm air by keeping your throat open. This will take a strong embouchure (the result of practice). The last thing is to add vibratto occasionally and also knowing how to play the music to create an organic sound (make the music kind of rise and fall as in not making it sound robotic) so it's appealing to the ear. But most importantly stay relaxed, it's evident in your sound when your tense.

It's fine for any brass instrument to be exposed to frigid temperatures. However, if the instrument is played while cold, the tone will be extremely flat. To accommodate for the flatness in tone, move your tuning slide in until the instrument is warmed up.

Never ever use a bleeach base cleaner on brass instruments. It takes the lacquer off on first application. This then leave you without that broght shiney finish. A mild soap and cool water is ok, however, you mucg wash out all traces of soap especially in slides and valves or these wil slow or stick and use an absorbant cloth to buff up the finish

It is tuned to a certain key (Bb normally) but as far as precise pitch, there is a tuning slide at the very top that can be extended/retracted to put the horn into tune. But the funny thing is that your pitch depends more on your embouchure and style than your tuning slide.

I did a quick search and wasn't able to find one. Trombone music is (generally) written in bass clef, so I doubt you can find what you're looking for.

It's extremely rare to play a high b flat in 8th grade. However when I was in 8th grade we had a scale test to see our ranges. the low brass was expected to do a written full range chromatic scale from low E flat to a high B flat, Two octave F major scale and a two octave G major scale, then we were to do one octave for the rest of the scales.

Apply a liberal amount of cream to the slide, then spread it around by moving your slide up and down. Apply a thin coating of water to the slide, and you're good to go. Make sure not to use too much slide cream.

I have personal experience with this. At first it is difficult and will cut your lips, but eventually you develop scar tissue and if you can adjust your embouchure, you'll do perfectly fine. I play with braces and am in my school's top band.
