What is interesting is they went undefeated in regular season play with Larry Siegfried, Mel Noll, Jerry Lucas, John "Hondo" Havelcheck and Bobby Knight in both the 1961 season and 1962 season but lost to cross state rivals the Cincinnati Bearcats both years in the championship game.
