Why did DNA in Hershey-Chase experiments end up in the supernatant?
In the Hershey-Chase experiments, DNA ended up in the supernatant because it is a large molecule that remained inside the bacterial cells, while the protein coat of the phage (which was labeled with radioactive sulfur) was stripped off and left outside the cell. This separation allowed researchers to conclude that DNA is the genetic material responsible for viral replication.

Do you have to live on usc campus?
Yes, Yale University has dorms, but they are actually organized into Residential Colleges.
There are twelve in all, and each 'House' holds a study area, music practice rooms, a library, a buttery (snack bar), and many other features such as exercise rooms, photography rooms, and pottery-making rooms depending on the residential college.
Every residential college also has its own dean and its own master. The dean is the head of academic and personal advising for the house's students while the master is in charge of the physical well-being of the students. The master also organizes cultural events, lectures, Masters' Teas (which are lectures with famous visitors), and study breaks.
Each student is randomly assigned to a residential college in his/her freshman year, and stays affiliated with that college throughout all four years. The University prides itself in making each residential college diverse according to culture and interests so that all students may expand their horizons.

What classes do you have to take in high school to get into usc?
At this time, California residents are required to have a 3.7 GPA, but it's a 4.2 GPA if you live outside of California.
Lots of community service at children's hospitals, or membership in sports teams or social clubs will help.
The cost of out-of-state tuition at this time is about $38,000 a year.
What are the requirements to get into USC?
People say you need like around a 3.8 GPA at least a 1300 on your tests (ACT in 30's) and be very involved; lots of community service helps also. Family legacy used to count alot, but doesn't as much. However it still counts for something. Also, everyone thinks schools want to see a well-rounded student, which to some degree is true, but actually what is is more important is an "angular or pointed" student; meaning someone who shows genuine interest and passion for select activities. It doesn't mean as much if you're 101 activites just to fill up space on your application. The college only cares if you contributed to that club etc. otherwise it doesn't hold as much weight as you might expect. I toured USC and an admissions advisor spoke to my group saying even if you don't think there is a chance of you getting in, apply anyways, there are people who get in that have lower GPA's, grades aren't everything although they do help, obviously. If you don't get in you rfreshman year, it is definitely much easier to a junior college for 1 or 2 years get really good grades and then transfer, that way USC doesn't have to worry about the transfer GPA's affecting their average. It is much easier. Good Luck and Fight On Trojans!
How much is tuition at USC Berkley?
Firstly, it's UC Berkeley (Public University) and then there's a different one called USC (University of Southern California) (Private University). Total costs at UC Berkeley are $28,312 for California residents and $50,982 for outsiders. (http://students.berkeley.edu/finaid/undergraduates/cost.htm). Total costs at USC are roughly $51,968 (http://www.usc.edu/dept/publications/cat2008/tuition/). Basically, if you're a Californian born and bred then UC Berkeley seems the best choice simply because of the financial advantages. If not then the difference in cost doesn't seem to be all that substantial in which case USC is the better choice. USC is renowned for it's alumni network and the advantages that has for employment after University.

How much is tuition at USC 'University of Southern California' for out of state students?
I am assuming that you are concerned with total cost, including room and board. If so, you can expect the sticker price to be in the low 50's. Don't be too shocked by that though, USC meets 100% of a student's demonstrated need and also offers scholarships for academically competitive individuals.
If you will be living off campus, you can expect to pay about $10,000 less to USC.
In state and out-of state tuition at USC is exactly the same since the school is private. Only public universities/colleges will have differing costs of attendance.
