You do not have to have any community service hours to enter UCLA.. There are some scholarships that may require this but this is not part of their admission process.

If you want a top education and attend a private school USC is your choice. When you attend USC youre part of a true family. USC grads always look out for fellow USC grads. Ive seen it hundreds of times.. It seems like UCLA grads are like the red headed step child, if you get my meanig. ALL kiddiing aside, they are both good schools. The bottom line is that you will get as much from a school directly proportional to as much as you give. Ive always been partial to USC becasue it's private and not dependent on tax payers money...........and from my experience, if you live in So. Cal. it pays to have gone to USC.........Both schools are much better than any other schools out their with the exception of some of the Ivy league schools.

It is because the American colonizers arrived there first before any other nation, however there already Spanish and Portuguese colonizers there. To solve that, a debate was conducted and the winner was America. Does that answer your question?

The University of Southern California does not use minimum quantitative admissions guidelines for incoming students. However, most successful freshman applicants graduate in the top ten percent of their class. Transfer students should show an academically rigorous track record in their previous studies.

The matrix is the space enclosed by the inner membrane. It contains about 2/3 of the total protein in a mitochondrion. The matrix is important in the production of ATP with the aid of the ATP synthase contained in the inner membrane. The matrix contains a highly-concentrated mixture of hundreds of enzymes, special mitochondrial ribosomes, tRNA, and several copies of the mitochondrial DNA genome. Of the enzymes, the major functions include oxidation of pyruvate and fatty acids, and the citric acid cycle.
Mitochondria have their own genetic material, and the machinery to manufacture their own RNAs and proteins. A published human mitochondrial DNA sequence revealed 16,569 base pairs encoding 37 total genes: 22 tRNA, 2 rRNA, and 13 peptide genes. The 13 mitochondrial peptides in humans are integrated into the inner mitochondrial membrane, along with proteins encoded by genes that reside in the host cell's nucleus.

The University of Southern California itself is not religiously-affiliated. However, many religions are represented by student groups and clubs. As stated on the school's website:
"USC is home to a vibrant multifaith community of more than 80 student religious groups, representing most of the world's major denominations, as well as a strong Interfaith Council. Meetings take place in the University Religious Center and other locations on and adjacent to campus. Whatever your spiritual affiliation or interest, the Office of Religious Life at USC helps provide the means for you to observe your faith and learn about others."
No matter your religion, you're bound to find others here who share your beliefs. USC is a very diverse school.
Take my word for it, I'm a Trojan myself! Class of 2013! =)
Oh, and here's a link to the Office of Religious Life's website:
