Woodrow Wilson.

Only about 42,000 $100,000 bills were ever printed. They were never intended for circulation, and were used to move large amounts of money between government departments in the days before electronic funds transfers.

The $100,000 bill was released only as a Gold Certificate in the series of 1934. Woodrow Wilson's image was shown on the obverse, while its reverse contained the "100,000" denomination printed in several places in orange- or gold-colored ink.

These are very common. They are only worth face value unless the are uncirculated.

As you have seen in many other postings, a bill's serial number almost never has anything to do with its value.

I also have one which was inside a package of Queen Regent Toilet Soap made by Swift & Company. I believe this soap package dates from the 1910's, judging by the piture on the box. I too would like to know if there is any value, collector or otherwise.

The United States $5 bill has a picture of the Lincoln Memorial on the back. The front has a portrait of President Lincoln.

Because his statue is visible inside the Memorial, the $5 bill is the only current US bill to show the same person on both sides.

As you have seen from other postings, a bill's serial number rarely affects its value. Date, condition, and series letter are far more important.

The U.S. did not print any $50 bills with that date. You may have a note issued by a private bank, in which case you'd need to have it examined by a dealer or appraiser to identify it.

The US didn't print any $100 bills dated 1923. Please check again and post a new, separate question.

Please check your bill's date and post a new, separate question. A bank name would appear on a 1929 National Bank Note. 1928-series bills were either Federal Reserve Notes or gold certificates.

In the US it was the $100,000.00 bill designed for use between branches of the Federal Reserve, and not for routine circulation.

In terms of number composing the amount

I think it is the 100.000.000.000.000 marks note released at the end of 1923 during the great depression and inflation in Germany.

Despite its age, these bills are common among collectors. A circulated one in decent shape might retail for all of $22, while a good-quality uncirculated one would go for $25 - $30. A dealer will probably only offer face value or a dollar extra.

The Bank of United States $1000 note with serial number 8894 is one of the most copied notes in the world. A method of artificially creating parchment was discovered back in the early 1960s and one firm has produced millions of copies of this and other notes, especially Confederate money. The note has been widely used in advertising and for several years was used on the boxes that one firm shipped blank checks in to their customers. The original of this note is on normal paper, and is in existence -- your copy is worthless.

The 500 dollar bill was last printed in 1945 and officially discontinued by President Richard Nixon (in an effort to combat organized crime) in 1969.

Paper money wasn't invented by the US it had been in China in the 10th century, during the Song dynasty, but was abandoned due to counterfeiting. The term "dollar" comes from a Count von Schlick, 1518 who minted silver one ounce coins that were accepted throughout Europe for 400 years, the name for these coins was "thaler", which, over the years, evolved to become the close-sounding word "dollar".

Auction prices as of 04/2014:

With a red seal - $35 to $55 if circulated; $90 uncirculated.

With a blue seal - $200 to $500 circulated; $1350 uncirculated.

Aside from its curiosity value because of Connally's injuries at the time of the Kennedy assassination, there's no real collector's market. Unless it's uncirculated and unfolded, any $1 Federal Reserve notes that you find today are pretty much only worth face value regardless of their age.
