Ativan is in the same family as Valium. They are both Benzodiazepines. Ativan is about 10 times stronger in terms of DOSE than Valium. They are two different chemicals but have similar effects. Some make you sleepier, and some work more at anxiety. I think Ativan is better than Valium at reducing anxiety but Valium makes you sleepier. But they are both similar so you probably won't notice the difference.

I wouldn't say that Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan are more habit-forming than Valium. Valium is just as addictive and potent as those three, if not more potent and addictive. I have been prescribed all 4 at some time or another to help with my sleep disorder, and I would say that the Valium lasted longer and had a greater sedating effect than the other 3, even when comparing a relatively small dosage of Valium to a higher dosage of any of the other 3.

You may take Lyrica with Diazepam, so long as you take both according to the dosage that your physician recommended. It should be noted, however, that both drugs act on the GABA pathways and can be considered synergistic drugs.

Taking too much of both substances at the same time can create issues such as agitation and mild hallucinations.

This is not true. The person that wrote this is a jackass and an evil person. 50 mg would only be good for a really severely obese person.... otherwise, 10mg is enough to knock you out for 10 hours+++... be warned!
