How much is a Steve mcnair card with a vikings uniform?

You must be talking about the 1995 Classic Draft Review card, wherein he is depicted in a Vikings uniform. This is an odd card, as he NEVER played for the Vikings. He was taken by the Oilers/Titans with the 3rd overall pick, and played 11 seasons for them, followed by 2 seasons with the Ravens. The card itself can be had for a couple dollars and is fairly available. This card is clearly a photo-shop on behalf of Classic. I'm aware of the same card where he is depicted in a Jaguars uniform, and there may be other teams as well.

Why does the traditional viking helmet have horns?

It didn't.

Horns make a helmet, particularly a fighting helmet, immensely impractical. A strike would get caught on the horn instead of sliding off. Maybe cut through the helmet, or break the neck instantly.

The idea of horned helmets stems from horned figures in rock carvings, and have never been supported by any archeology. The rock carvings may well be of some religious nature, and not an actual picture of something that was real.

Answer

The reason why some traditional viking helmet have horns is a few depictions which is actually mounted with animal horns or some replicas. This may also due to their religious beliefs.

depends. the vikings were bigger and broader probably: the Muslim Sultan used the vikings to guard his palace front doors during Byzantium era. The vikings were like red necks to the 20th power, probably would do about anything to win--if you can think it, they probably did it. Very ruthless.

AA

Yes, the Vikings were worse than the Phoenicians. The word Viking meant Pirate. The Phoenicians were mainly merchants. The two occupations were quite different.

  • Used card looms to make cloth for clothing
  • Invented the vapidity loom . This was a warp-weighted loom was a vertical loom made up of a set of upright wooden beams and an upper beam that held the woven cloth.

  • They were competent blacksmiths and developed weapons and aror suitable for their needs.

Why did vikings invade Britain?

The Vikings invaded Britain so that they can plunder the valuable property in British settlements and occupy the land. The Vikings were subdued in battle because they had under-estimated the opposing armies.

When did the viking come to Britain and why?

The earliest recorded Viking raid on England was around 789 when three Viking long ships landed on the coast of Wessex. Not much is known about this incursion but an agent of the local Anglo-Saxon king was killed.

In 793 Vikings plundered the monastery at Lindesfarne. The abbey was destroyed, the monks were killed or taken as slaves, ancient manuscripts were destroyed and the treasures of the abbey were taken. The monks could be sold in the European slave markets and the treasures could be converted into other valuable items to be sold or kept by the Viking leaders.
