YES- Only a couple of months from now. Maybe less. Think Summer 2013. I know this because it's going up on the corner of my subdivision on Rt3 about a mile or so west of Lake of the Woods. They just put up all the curbing, and the parking lot just got paved with the asphalt base coat. I don't think it's going to be a supercenter, but I could be wrong. We'll see.

Walmart is pretty good for almost anything and everything. The clothes are cheap and not high quality and if you have sensitive ears or face steer clear of the jewelry.

Wal-Mart has no close competition.......Target Greatland would be the closest I think. Wal-mart is a behemoth.

In the UK, Walmart owns the supermarket ASDA, which competes with Tesco, Morrissons, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer, The Co-operative and a number of others.

As the jewelry coordinator you do as follows, claims, special orders, such as, class rings & specialized wedding bands, returns, zone area, safety sweeps, outbound & inbound calls, check-in inventory, lay-ways, watch batteries, link removers, ear piecing, customer relations & services, sending out ring size jewelry, sending out damage jewelry to get repaired, wiping down counter tops, organizing, rearranging area, (upon management discussion) modules, price changes, need to counts and etc. As for shoes freight, returns, zone, safety sweeps, (upon management decision), modules, price changes, need to counts and etc.

As of my last update, Sam's Club typically does not carry Pibb soda, which is a product of Coca-Cola. However, availability can vary by location and over time, so it's best to check with your local Sam's Club or their website for the most current inventory.

Empty shelves at Walmart are the result of incompetent management at the upper levels, they refuse to listen to the customers. They are trying to find the elusive 80% of sales from 20% of merchandise.

Walmart executives must be convinced that the customers are really too stupid to notice what is going on.

This is further complicated by the re-order stock level order set-points and the contracted lead times agreed upon by Walmart and their vendors for a certain price point. To further harm sales, their computerized systems are incorrectly set to show reordering quantities/lead times for re-supplying the stores.

To top it all off, they think that their customers are too stupid to see the prices going up and to shop somewhere else for better value.

Most likely. Or, if you can't find one there, you could try at other stores, such as Target. If all else fails, a children's store, such as The Clothes Pony, or Toys R Us would have one. You could also make one yourself, if you still can't find one. I don't know how to make one, but you could try looking it up on Google. Or, you could post it as a question on this website :)

Not long ago it was said that the Evansville Indiana, East side Wal-Mart did the highest volume in the country. I cannot verify this, but anyone who has ever been there would probably not be suprised to hear it.

As far as I can tell, Wal Mart's annual report clasifies its assets are both classified and comparative, in that current assets are listed in the proper order of liquidity to cash, and comparative in that 5 fiscal years of annual reports are present in the report for comparison.

It was reported by Mayor Rowland and the Cleveland Daily Banner that Sam's Club was supposed to open on Stuart Road/Paul Huff Parkway near the Bowater Employees Credit Union in February 2010. Of course, this has not happened and it appears that the project is either on hold or canceled. Sam's Club has not publicly announced the status of the project.

Of course with Costco's entry into the Chattanooga market (of which Cleveland is now a part), Sam's Club may be less likely to expand. They may be more cautious about a move like opening more stores in the area.

How funny, I just finished reading the biography of Sam Walton the entrepreneur , of the famous stores called "Walmart" the most successful retailer. Walmarts philosophy even beat out Kmarts and and other discount chains.

Sam started out by buying into a small chain store retailer similar to Woolworth's of the day. He got a loan from his father-in law if I can remember the story correctly. I believe the amount was about 100,000. Sam was able to make make a profit on the store by pricing everything low and selling in massive volume. He eventually started the first Walmarts

The first Walmarts store was actually a risky investment as told by Sam Walton, he borrowed some money from his brother Bud and also invested some of his wife's money but ,had to put in 95 percent of the money himself which was nearly all the money he had. I remember reading in the book that one of the reasons he called the store Walmarts was because it had less letters in the name than some of the other choices so the store signs wound -up being cheaper.

Walmarts is a fascinating business-model that studied by many business schools including myself.

Another great point Sam made in the book was to give a part of your business to someone in your family early before it becomes really profitable so you can avoid paying ridiculous taxes on it if it becomes a million dollar business.

It's a commercial enterprise selling retail goods.
