The only big cat whose name starts with the letter J is the jaguar. Jaguars are the third largest cat on Earth. They are native to South America, Mexico and Central America. They used to live in parts of the USA, but they were exterminated by hunters.

The adult cheetah weighs from 35 to 72 kg. Its total head and body length is from 110 to 150 cm. The tail alone can measure 60 to 84 cm in length. Cheetahs are 66 to 94 cm tall at the shoulder. Males tend to be slightly larger than females and have slightly bigger heads, but there is not a great variation in cheetah sizes and it is difficult to tell males and females apart by appearance alone.

Tigers are known to enjoy swimming. There may be other species that enjoy water as well, but Tigers are the main type of big cat to enjoy being in water.

Ringtail cats reproduce by sexual reproduction. The mating season of ringtails occurs from February to June, and the gestation period lasts 51-53 days. The period females are in heat only lasts 24 hours within the mating season. The number in a litter ranges from 1-5 but is usually 2-4, and newborns weigh an average of 0.9 ounces or 25 grams. At birth, ringtails are white-haired and fuzzy and the tail is not yet colored with the white and black bands. In the mating rituals of these animals, both males and females mark their territory (which does not overlap) with urine and feces usually near their dwellings. These markings act as "calling cards" that deter competition in members of the same sex and attract reproductive partners in members of the opposite sex.

The only wild cats on Hawaii are the feral cats. Hawaii has a massive feral cat population. There were stories of a big cat on the island of Maui, possibly a leopard or cougar or something, but there was never any definitive proof that a big cat was in fact on the island.

It is possible for most wild cats to mate with each other with the exception of cheetahs. The cheetah's bone structure is just too different from other wild cats for them to be able to produce a hybrid with another cat.

Despite it's name, a Fisher Cat (Martes pennanti) is not a cat, but a marten or mustid. It does not eat fish.

You shouldn't keep a wild animal as a pet! Many animals end up dead or in sanctuaries because people think it would be "cool" to have a wild animal as a pet. It's not cool, get a regular cat, they are independent, clean, and are fun to have around. They are like a mini version of a big cat, just domesticated and won't destroy your house.

Most likely a Red Fox, they scream out and sound like a woman or young girl.

The black panther is often said to have "a scream like a woman".
