Well, when I go into control panel -> change desktop background-> Internet explorer it says the directory "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer (1)". Not positive if its the same for everyone but is should at least tell you were its kept when selecting the background.

A characteristic of a time-sharing system is that the computer seen by the user programming in machine language differs from that on which the system is implemented. But realistically, if you are having problems and your system and you are running ME, reformating won't necessarily fix things. ME just has a lot of bugs in it. You probably meant MCI error... Anyway such error caused by two things. First one is when you do not have drivers installed for devices you are trying to use. Second one is when you are trying to run software which is not compatible with the OS you are using. Try using compatibility mode (right click...).

By default all the icons are are displayed on desktop but you can hide them. You can use desktop context menu to hide or show, right click on desktop, go to 'view' options and uncheck 'show desktop options'. To make them visible again simply check the 'show desktop options'.

You can also use .reg file for showing or hiding.

Show: 'Show_Desktop_Icons.reg

Hide: 'Hide_Desktop_Icons.reg'

it is compatible with the OS. but I also saw occassions that can't load the game.

^After I'm done recording a video on my laptop using Camstudio, it saves it as an .avi file that won't play and a notepad file. The laptop I am using runs Windows 7. I feel like I might have screwed something up at one point, because one time when I was recording the screen just started flashing and I couldn't do anything until I logged off and logged back on.
