Left click "Start" on the bottom left side of your desktop. Then left click "Control Panel" in the right hand side of the "Start" menu. In "Control Panel", scroll down to "Sounds and Audio Devices" and left click on it. On the "Volume" tab in the menue that pops up, click the box that says "Place volume icon in the task bar". Left click "Apply" then "OK" and you should see the volume icon on the bottom right hand side of your desktop. You can now click on the icon to adjust your volume level. Note: I have my computer set up to use single clicks. If your computer is not set that way, you will need to use "double" clicks when called for above. Hope this helps.

I wonder if the problem would be as easy as this solution, sometimes there goes mute on. If your computer is on mute state, then go to pane in right down corner over the speaker icon, then click it on your mouse's left button. If there is flag on mute choice, then click it and then your computer has sound again.

If this is not the situation, then please send more info. For example, can you hear music with headphones, does the computer begin to play music CD, when u install it to cd-player. Everything possible.
