Well...
You need to install Zune on your PC it's free and is a useful bit of software if you want to expand how you use your phone.
Then plug in your phone and open up zune, use the USB to Mini USB you got as part of your charger. Zune will recognise your phone and will start to Sync the data from your phone with your PC (Transferring photos and stuff), this might take a while but you will need to do it..
Once it has finished, if there is an update available, a message will popup asking if you want to install an update, select yes.
If there is no message try to go into settings and update and search for update.
If then it doesn't work. Message me on my message board!

I had a phone do this and believe it or not if yours is having the same problem you can put it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes and get about 5 minutes of screen time to recover important messages or contacts. I don't know why but being a computer nerd I figured a deep freeze may help and it did! repeat if necessary.
Also, if that doesn't work for you, then try putting your phone in rice for 1 to 2 days. It worked for me, and my sister

You should have a USB cable in the box you received your phone in.
Just plug it into your phone, then plug in your computer, and a menu should come up on your Phone on what kind of mode you want your phone on.

You will not be able to delete your Windows Phone history directly.Try Zune software.Go to Settings > Phone > Device Options Erase All Content.It erases all your history.But if you still wtach videos using your YouTube applications.Then again Zune stores them in the History.
