There is a way by which you can get up to 150 xp EVERY BATTLE!
Here are the steps:
NOTE: You have to a journeyman or higher rank diviner and death should be your second school
1. Equip a mummified deck
2. Keep two storm sharks in your deck
3. Keep all 0 rank spells like Thermic shield, Dream shield and storm shield also, keep the soothe spell in your deck
4. Go to the skull fort in triton avenue
5. When the battle starts, kill the scarlet screamer with 1 storm shark card.
6. Cast all the 0 rank spell you have including the soothe spell.
7. Heal when your health is below 400
8. When ALL your cards are finished, kill sergeant skullsplitter with the storm shark
9. Enjoy your xp
10. Do this twice a day to level up faster

The wraith pet is a death school only pet, if your first school is death, than at lvl 48 you get wraith, you can also get wraith from breeding your pets. But since the wraith's pedigree is so high, it can be quite costly to breed the wraith pet.

If you need healing, save your pips if u can't do it. If you want to cast a spell that you want to do, then when it is time to choose your cards when you are in a duel, Discard some of them that you won't use, (right click on the cards) then the next time, your cards refill, and your might get the cards you want.
