Xanax is the trade name of alprazolam tablets, developed by Upjohn (Pfizer made the acquisition, so Pfizer produces the Trade name tablets). I will just use Xanax when referring to alprazolam.

I guess it's possible that if you are taking generics the purity of the pills could vary a little, but not by any significant amount. My doctor has prescribed me two .5mg and one 1mg Xanax pills interchangeably, so because of that (and the use of math and logic), I can't imagine there being any difference.

I recommend snorting it because typically it will take less than 10 minutes to have you nodding off and its such a small amount that its easy on the nose.

I would have to say that I have taken them together before and I experienced very odd side affects. Paranoia, bad Jitters, and increased heart rate.

I am 100% sure that those 2 combined FOR ME, do NOT mix well. I have taken both separately and years apart and both have worked well for separately.

So please make sure you consult a Doctor first, but even then they may still not be for sure if you will have side affects as I did. I mean a Doctor wrote those scripts for me at the same time. I had to decide between ADD and depression (not that there are not other drug alternatives), but I went with ADD and my depression slipped away.

There are two ways to interpret this question. One is, what is the herbal chemical equivalent, and one, more general, what herbs can help, relax, tranqulize like Valium.
