Most pellet guns can penetrate the skin, they may not kill you but it will hurt. If you have a .257 or larger PCP Airgun that produces a higher fpe then yes you could kill a Zombie. People need to stop looking at Airguns as toys, they are not toys and the higher caliber airguns can kill. So Please practice Safety!!!
Oh yeah, you need to shoot the Zombie in the head so I would use a 35cal PCP with a 3500psi tank with the valve set to 950psi burst, or a MAC35 with the cartridge set to 4500psi. :-)

In my battalions experience if you want to survive follow this list
- Make a secure base where it is nearly impossible to get ambushed and it can be easily guarded and easy to escape from for your team (this can also be hidden or a quick spot for ammo refills and supplies
- The gun you choose is also good for battle carry a reliable weapon that wont let you down (Raider,Long-Shot,Long-Strike) and a side arm for emergency's (Dart Tag Pistol,Nite Finder,Maverick)
- Carry ammo for a few rounds always keep clips load and ready for a quick reload
- Keep communications open cell phones on vibrate work great for meeting points and strategic advice
- If close combat weapons are agreed to keep a Nerf sword handy or a gag knife
- never leave a teammate behind you will need all the help you can get

Would a book on zombies sell well?
I would buy it! Zombies are freaking awesome! just be sure to include pictures and some interactive stuff. Please, though, no more VAMPIRE copy cats. LOL
It would be a great book, if it had the right pictures in, colour, facts etc. I guess it would also only appeal if you liked things like that.
