What is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver's salary?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I have some friends that drive in it (not going to say any names) but he has been racing part-time since 2006 in the Nascar Camping World Truck series. He races for a "under-funded" team. He averages about 10-15 starts a year since 2006. He told me he usually makes $15,000+ in sponsorship dollars a race and gets a certain percent of the winnings. He usually averages anywhere between $18,000-$22,000 a race after sponsorship dollars and racewinning (before taxes). not bad. And this is a "under-funded" Team too. Imagine what the big racing truck team drivers are making each race too.

Where can you buy a NASCAR Series truck?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The teams are always selling used race cars for use in lower NASCAR racing classes. If you want something more new, without shelling out all that dough for a shop, equiptment, research, and so on, most of the teams would be happy to take care of your needs, provided, you have the cash, and the talent to pilot it. I think Hendrick still offers a rental program, where, he will rent you a car that will more than qualify, and, I think he will even rent you a team to pit it, and a tuner to fine tune it. That would be my choice. A proven winner, and you return it until the next race. What more could any racer want?!

When was the first monster truck show at the Pittsburgh civic arena?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The first USHRA event (Then called Truck-O-Rama) was held at the Civic arena on 7/30-8/1 1981. It's unlikely that there were monsters at this event, but I have pictures personally of monsters at the arena from April 1986. I would guess that they had monsters starting around '84-'85 though.
