People cant help what race they are, or where they came from. People judge them from things they cant control. Every race does it, so none can complain any more than the other. But it still makes one feel bad, low, ugly, and useless . It makes other people think they are nothing!
Racism hurts individuals and communities by perpetuating harmful stereotypes, limiting opportunities for those affected, and creating a cycle of inequality. It can lead to emotional and physical harm, hinder social cohesion, and perpetuate systemic injustices. Addressing racism is crucial for promoting a more equitable and inclusive society.
Africans or the term (dark or black or Afros) along with if born in the US as African Americans, and racism affect the world alot. Racism is known as the unfairness of rights or privileges among color of skin. In early history there were such as slaves. Forced to do hard labor for little or no pay. In America, slavery ended during the civil war. It had ended in America when Abraham Lincoln stated his famous speech "The Gettysburg Address" Then he said (simplified) "For all slaves are to be free!". Slavery is the southwestern states (Texas, Luisiana, Etc.) hand no caught wind of this speech and slavery there ended later on the war. From then on the are still those against Afros. During the time of Martin Luther King Jr. there was major racism. They could not go to the same school, sit on the same part of the bus or even different bathrooms, different gas stations, and even water fountains! At that time there was an organization know as the Ku Klux Klan (The Triple K's or KKK) which existed in the south since the civil war! They would burn houses, and could never be stopped because only whites could be on the police forces and many officers were KKK! In WW2 (World War 2) Adolf Hitler (Nazi German Dictator) hand issued that all Jews to be sent to concentration camps or death camps (places where they do worse than slavery and burn, poison, or just shot you on sight when they wanted to) but that was not only issued to Jews. It was also issued to Muslims, Jew Hiders and Protectors, Christens, and what this thing is about, Afros. Racism still exists today and in some parts of the world slavery is still going. Racism affects all skin colors not just blacks and whites.
How does racism affect people?
I have always hated racism and I think I always will! Racism always makes you feel worthless and left out and it really affects you. I mean, when I was younger and at Kindergarten some of the girls didn't want to play with me because I was black. I was really upset and I had low self-esteem. Even now, I still shudder when I think of it because it made me feel so lonely.
In Grade 4, I used to get called "Brown Bear" by two girls which might sound silly but it really hurt. My primary school was really good about racism (they were a fantastic school) and I am lucky for that.
I know a dark skinned girl who has had lots of problems due to her skin colour and because of her religion (she wears religious scarfs on her head), guys wouldn't go out with her and her "friends" ditched her because of it. She said she feels she could never call Australia her country because of it, which scared me because I think of Australia as home.
I sometimes am scared about someone being racist to me. I am scared of how I may react, because I might want to punch them (and people call me nice and calm!). The bottom line is that my community is good and safe, but it doesn't mean that I might not get more racist comments made to me in the years to come.
It makes people feel worthless or something on the lines of that.
Racism in Australia exists due to historical factors such as colonization and the treatment of Indigenous Australians, as well as ongoing social issues like prejudice and discrimination. Systemic racism, stereotypes, and ignorance also contribute to the persistence of racism in the country.
Racism is the belief that one race is superior or inferior to another, leading to discrimination and prejudice towards individuals or groups based on their race. It can manifest in various forms such as systemic racism, interpersonal racism, and internalized racism.
Racism can happen in various settings such as schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and online platforms. It is important to address and combat racism wherever it occurs to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
Some possible solutions to combat racism include promoting diversity and inclusion, educating people about different cultures and histories, implementing anti-discrimination policies, fostering open conversations about race and privilege, and advocating for equality and justice for all individuals.
Racism played a significant role in the justification and perpetuation of slavery, as it was used to dehumanize and justify the mistreatment of enslaved individuals based on their race. The belief in the inherent superiority of certain races fueled the practice of slavery and helped maintain systems of oppression.
Obviously.
I'm not sure it is possible to blow racism out of proportion. Racism is a horrific thing, it is about oppressing entire groups of people in such a way that promotes prejudice including murdering people within minorities. Racism is what hurts people.
Racism is not fair, no matter where you live or who you are. It is discrimination against someone just because of where they come from. This is something they cannot help. It can hurt people, and it is never OK.
yes it is because it can hurt black peoples feelings and it isn't nice DIVINT BE RACIST
He helped people to NOT hurt others because of racism is all I know!
Rascim is bad because it hurts peoples feelings and its all based on your curtal and skin colour.
There isn't much racism anymore. There is only those certain people that don't like "different" people. but most of the times people make racism jokes for fun, not really to hurt others. So truthfully i think that he would have been proud of how much its changed.
institutional racism causes interpersonal racism.
