The easiest way ive found to do it is take the castle nuts off of the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod end, remove the axle nut, use a ball joint separator on the upper, then the tie rod end, then the lower. pull the wheel speed sensor, and you've got it. The axle shaft should push straight through, and just a hint, tighten the nut a few threads onto the ball joint on the lower control arm so when it pops, you know its loose and it doesnt fall completely off.
No. You can remove the engine and leave the transmission in the vehicle.

Remove the belt from your 1993 Chevrolet S 10 Blazer power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump hose. Remove the power steering pump retaining bolts.
The 93 requires a steering wheel puller, possibly the 92 also.

i am looking for a diagram of the firing order in a 1997 Chevy s10 blazer 4x4.
A 1987 s10 Blazer 4x4 weights around 10.6. This is going off curb weight.
Assuming this is a 4+4 vehicle, the caliper bolts on to the caliper bracket. The caliper bracket bolts on to the steering knuckle.
First loosen and remove the axle nut on suspected wheel, then raise front of vehicle and support with jack stands. Remove wheel, brake caliper, brake pads, caliper bracket and rotor. Remove the 4 bolts holding the hub in place. Tap hub flange with a bfh until it breaks loose from steering knuckle. Clean up the knuckle and install the new hub assembly in reverse order.
They are pressed into the block; there might be a bolt also holding them in place to the side of the motor.
