If both sides are out as well as the hazard lights then the flasher relay is suspect.
In the Montero Sport , there is no relay. The flasher is located on the left dash by the junction block.
The flasher most likely is under the dash. It should be mounted in or near the fuse box and there will be one for turn signals and one for emergency flashers.

It has one flasher that controls both the turn signals and the emergency flashers. If the turn signals are working then the flasher is not your problem. However the flasher relay is located on the drivers side, under the dash, above the fuse block, mounted on the kick panel.
