brake light switch bad check for continuity at the fuse then the switch, but yeah bad switch. Kongkit Raggan-Supatanampon

sounds like you have a bad turn signal flasher One bulb is bad. The right rear turn signal bulb is burned out
Most often the tail lights and dash lights share a single feed and fuse. Assuming you have checked the fuses (probably marked as tail or courtesy) then I would next check the head light switch. If you have good fuse and the head light gives a voltage out while in the 'parking light' position (usually between off and headlights) then you need to start chasing wiring. If you need more, post another question, and I'll see if I can walk you further down the path. I had this exact same problem and found out that the headlight switch was just making enough contact with the plug for the headlights to work. We plugged that in and the tail lights and dashboard lights started working also.

If your 2002 Grand Cherokee turn signal will not work, it is a good idea to check the fuses first. Then, check the bulb in the signal to see if that is lighting at all. Replace the fuse if it is blown.
Try the fixes offered in the "Related Question" below... Chances are really good they'll work for you.
When the signal lights are not working on a car, there are a couple of things that could be going on. One could be that the bulb needs to be replaced. The other possibility is that the signal relay needs to be replaced.
Had short in trailer light, blew fuse, checked traile, thought fixex, did not, blew turn signal fuse along with emergency flasher fuse, checked again, found problem, but no lights, replaced fuses, nothing works, have checked everything I know, even pulled stering wheel checked swith, nothing wrong, has me at wits end, plesse advise
check the ground on your tailights R.W: Have you checked the turn signal switch? That may have to be replaced.
have you checked the fuses?
The whole turn signal arm unit needs to be replaced
I had the same problem with this and with mine I found out the curcuit board on the back of the taillight needed to be replaced. If you have a late model get it checked out.
To replace turn signal control module requires removing steering wheel. Took mine to a dealer - $245 out the door. Brake lights work great now.
The Turn Signal Switch is bad in the column and needs to be replaced.
they could have burned out, or the wires are bad. I recommend getting it checked by a mechanic ;)
Have you checked the bulbs themselves? The directional signal should be the same element as the brake light. Check to see if you rear directional signals.
If neither signal light works, the flasher may very likely be the problem. The hazard lights and the signal lights work off different flashers.
