Just a point of history. The Allies invaded the Italian island of Sicily, first, before they moved onto the Italian main land. This was in August 1943. The invasion of Sicily was on 10 July 1943. By August 17, 1943, the island had been taken by Gen Patton's 7th Army and Gen Montgomery's 8th Army. Sicily and Corsica are part of the country of Italy. The British invaded the "toe" of Italy on 3 September 1943 and the US 5th Army landed at Salerno on 9 September. Because it was closest to Britain, so a Channel crossing there would the easiest for the Allies. Another reason was that the Allies did not want the Germans to find out what the real intended invasion location for D-Day was, and they had set up an elaborate misinformation campaign. They succeeded in making the Germans think that the invasion would indeed take place much farther north, in the Calais region.
If you are asking if Italy was part of the Allies in World War Two, the answer is no. However, if you want to find the allies of Italy, the main one was Germany.
