To my knowledge the Nissan Quest does not use a timing chain, it uses a timing belt, with a replacement interval of 105,000 miles.
when is the last year nissan frontier use a timing belt

They use a chain, so don't worry about a belt.
The 1.8 liter and the 2.0 liter four cylinder engines in a 2001 Nissan Sentra both use a timing CHAIN
Timing belts should be changed approximately every 80,000 miles.Check with Nissan about your specific vehicle. Several Nissan cars and trucks do not use belts, They use chains and almost never have to be replaced.
Nissan Maximas use a timing belt instead of a chain. Change the belts at proper intervals to prevent a vehicle breakdown.
Kia Soul..Both engines use a timing belt..FYI...Nissan Cube and all the Toyota x series use a Timing chain..Good question..thats a very expensive service for an entry priced vehicle..
If your eng VG 33E will use belt . Eng VQ 35 DE use chain . But look in your engine . if the cover is plastic than your belt timing . If your engine cover by metal than you have a chain timing
I was told that timing belts should be replaced every 60,000 miles. However, when I called the local Nissan dealer for my 2003 Sentra, they told me it does not ever need to be replaced. Then I read somewhere that apparently Nissan guarantees the timing belt/chain to last the life time of the engine. I also read that 2003 Sentra has a timing chain, not a belt.
Both engines (US Models) use timing chains. Upper and lower chains in the GA16DE (1.6 liter engine) and a single chain the the SR20DE (2.0 liter engine).
A Chevy Cobalt has a timing belt which connects the camshaft and crankshaft. Older model cars often use less effective timing chains.
