if more than 75000 mi. and not useing coolant, change the water pump,guarenteed the impellors are worn. i went with the NAPA severe use water pump P/N WP58323H lists for $46.29, 17.99 for a gallon of coolant, 7.00 for a six pack, and 30 mins. later the heat was blasting!
blower resistor
Resistor is located behind the blower motor assembly.
Thermostat possibly stuck open or heater control valve broken. Now if you mean the blower motor has stopped working, check the fuse, blower motor itself, or the blower motor resistor pack.
i have an 03 grand prix and yes it was the blower motor resistor also check there is a fuse for fan low and fan high or something like that
A blower resistor can be replaced, in your 2002 Oldsmobile, by removing the resistor wiring. Remove the retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new resistor.

check for voltage at the blower motor on all settings. if no voltage check the blower motor resistor or relay. if it has a resistor it will be right beside the blower motor, if it has a relay it will be the relay on the firewall under the hood.it will probably have a purple,orange,blue,and black wires.

If the blower only works on high the blower resistor is most likely the problem and should be replaced. On rare occasions if the car has blown the resistor more than once the blower motor shouuld be replaced.
