Crank and or Cam sensors may be bad. I would Buy both and try the Crank sensor first.
Look at the TCC solenoid in the trans is going to be bad.
maf sensor or idle air control/ecm. force-clean fuel injectors and reset engine timing and base idle
Mine did that, it was the fuel pump!
plug the sensor in then disconnect the battery for an hour. then try. Thank You that worked but now it is idleing at 3 rpm and when I press on the gas and hold it down it almost stalls out and backfires randomly. Could it be the timing now?
Needs crankshaft sensor and or camshaft sensor
You have to change the mass flow sensor
you have a sensor problem.
Because it's a Ford.
Try the crank sensor first, then the cam sensor. without these the car will not spark. Most commonly the crank sensor though.
check your mass air flow sensor. Im having the same problem right now with my 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix & i had a mechanic tell me it was my mass air flow sensor.
crank sensor is getting hot/ bad crank sensor
If it is stalling when putting it into gear but not while idleing I would check your mass air flow sensor. It may need to be cleaned or replaced. If it is stalling when putting it into gear but not while idleing I would check your mass air flow sensor. It may need to be cleaned or replaced.
