Had the same problem my coil had a split in the bottom of it grounding out on top of the block go look under the hood on the passenger side @NIGHT AND LOOK FOR YOUR LIGHTNING
This could be a problem with your cam sensor, or crank sensor.
Check the connector to the air flow sensor ( should be at or near the air cleaner), it could also be the sensor itself
Providing that the vehicle does not have to pass an emissions test
On most GM cars, it's only a couple of special screws, torx or 4.5mm or whatever.. but they're still just screws. On other makes, I'm not certain.

The cam position sensor is attached to the distributor, under the distributor cap. It is held in place with two screws.
The 2000 GMC throttle position sensor can be found on top of the engine. The throttle position sensor will be near the injector fuel pump.

the sensor is in the post behind the drivers door at the bottom , this sensor turns your headlights on in daylight mode when car is started but it is not the sensor that turns them on brighter ( or the dash lights ) automatically when dark

The map sensor on Safari 4.3 L and Astro vans are accessed through the inside engine cover. Once you remove the engine cover you can spot the air intake for the throttle body . The map sensor is to the right of the air intake (passenger side) about 2 - 3 inches, towards the rear of the van

AH...... It is of course possible It is likely illegal (but not where I live) And it may require tricking the rear or second 02 sensor into thinking it is still there.
