Sadly, you cannot, I was wondering the same thing so I bought a Samsung Chromebook and Minecraft doesn't run since the Chrome OS doesnt support Java.

However, if you are willing to get your hands dirty with developer mode, you can install Crouton and then play Minecraft there. Search Youtube for "How To Install Minecraft on a Chromebook" for example.

This may not work very well on ARM CPU based Chromebooks such as the Samsung Series 3. If you have an Intel Chromebook, it should be a little easier.

To get minecraft on chrome you type in download minecraft on the internet and you click the download button. You first need to have a decent computer if its older than 2003 it might not work. Also you will have to press run several times and let it load it might take more than 2 min or so. then you go to downloads and pull it out and put it on your screen. ENJOY!!

No...the game is played on a Java-based platform. At this time, Chromebooks don't allow for Java. However, one workaround would be if you installed Linux (ex: Ubuntu), but this requires some work.

If you're browsing in the web, it doesn't run any different from browsing on the Chrome browser. The applications and extensions you can add onto the Chrome browser will automatically sync when you are on a Chromebook (using your Gmail address). Most files and documents that you can normally run on a traditional Windows or Mac desktop or laptop can run on Google Docs/Drive or a Chrome extension that supports it. The exception are executable (.exe) files.

Not at this time. There is talk however of Microsoft offering a Chrome variant of their Office suite down the line. In the meantime, Google Docs/Drive and other 3rd party software for Chrome OS can open and edit most Office files.

Yes, infact i just did it. All you do is plug the green wire into the head phone port on laptop and plug the USB wire into the USB port. Also if u want to use mic. plug the pink wire into the mic. port.

Well it all depends on what your looking for in a computer. If you're looking for quick internet access, light weight, things like touch screen, and price, I would recommend a Chromebook. If you're looking for running downloadable applications such as Games, video editing etc, I recommend a windows laptop.

You cannot. Chromebooks do not allow for executable (.exe) files, so unless Apple plans to make iTunes in web-based form across all platforms (think Pandora, Spotify, etc.), it is not possible.

There are a number of the early Chromebooks from Samsung and Acer from 2011 are still functioning normally today (as of March 2014). They also are able to run the latest version of Chrome OS. So, barring the hardware breaking down or the OS maturing beyond the hardware, it can continue to run indefinitely.

Sadly, "IMVU" cannot be used or downloaded on chrome OS, it is only available on windows, mac OS, Android, Apple, and other reliable platforms, if you are looking to play "IMVU" i suggest these other platforms.

Gmail does not have an option to zoom out. However you can zoom out the browser window. You can do it in the browser settings.

No Chromebooks that I have seen have a touch screen.
