There's also the crankshaft position sensor mounted on the drivers side / top of the transmission housing. Some auto parts stores carry them, some don't. The voltage connector is on top of the intake manifold, near the firewall. Also check the voltage to the ignition coil.
try to get a new ignition rotor
Ignition control module.. located under the distributor The distributor cap is probably cracked and moisture is getting into it. Replace the cap .
You need to check the ignition coil, It could be getting hot. There is also a pick-up coil inside of the distributor that could be shuting down when it gets hot, that is what the module plugs into on the distributor. If this don't help you then ask your question again.
first check to see if your distributor is getting power to it and if it is check to see if the stator inside your distributor is sending a signal to the ignition module, just hook up a test light between the stator going to the ignition module to ground
have you replaced and or tested both coils? are you getting no spark on the intake and the exaust sides?
The most common failure associated with those symptoms is the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
try to get a new ignition rotor
Check to see if you are getting spark (coil) and fuel
a '95 riviera does not have a distributor. If you mean the ignition coils, then you probably looking at bad ignition module-located under the coils. Or bad crank sensor.
Check the ignition control module.
Your ignition module may be out. Or your distributor is out. What kind of vehicle?
ignition control module in the distributor
== == check that you are getting power to the distributor. i am assuming you are talking about a earlier model vehicle Have you checked the ecm relay? maybe the pickup coil assy.
electronic spark modulator bad.
whi ignition coil wont jabe electrisiti on mitsubichi pk up and distributor
try a new ignition coil
Is it getting spark?, if it isn't getting spark to the plugs and you have a HEI distributor the ignition control module could be blown, take cap off and replace the module, it's the thing with the wires plugged to it inside the distributor.
