yes! change the starter!
The problem is almost definitely your neutral safety switch. When you jump the solenoid you are bypassing it. The problem is your starter is going and needs replacement
could be the starter that not good or maybe the starter isn't connected right
Directly in centre front of engine, right over the starter.( if you remove this, cover starter with a plastic bag first)
right side of engine, what is the particular problem with it ?
Your problem may be due to a bad starter, not an alternator. An old, worn, or damaged starter will give the impression that there is not enough power to turn over the engine or give no responce at all as if the battery is dead. Then after it cools down it may be more willing to start. Give the starter a good tap with a tire iron while someone else turns the key when it won't start. Try your best to be syncronised with the ignition and tapping the starter. If it starts right up you got a bad starter. It may seem like a tap will get you by but it won't work for long.
I am having this same problem. I will give a definitive answer once I've had my car looked at but I'm confident that the problem lies within either the starter or the solenoid. Strangely enough, if I bang the starter and solenoid with a hammer a few times the car will start right up. I think the gear inside the starter is jamming and the hammer helps to free it up.
"hot start" issue. Could be the solenoid, or starter itself.
It is located on the underside of the car, right before the dust and brush guard starts.
it could be the starter. Mine did the same thing and i changed the starter and it works good now. When mine would be hot it would not start but it would start right up when it was cold.
i had the same problem on my Taurus 06. check the battery and it's connections, something is loose. i have changed the battery and cleaned the the terminals. every thing turned ok
Assuming you did all of that right, have you jumped the starter? Plus, maybe I'm not understanding this question right, but why did you swap the radio for a no start condition?
It's your starter solenoid. Toys are hard to replace just the solenoid. replace the starter!!!!!
