check the wires from the coil pack to the plug
make sure that the plug clicks into place
check to see if you even have any spark by pulling one of the new plugs and or the old and ground it to the motor and have some one turn the motor over and look an see if you have any spark older spark plug may not work try a new one if poss.
if you have spark that obviously means that isn't your problem whether they were gapped or not i havent ever gapped my plugs for the three yrs ive owned it and its allways ran i change my plugs every 4 weeks
if you can make sure you look to see if your getting fuel you can check that on the release valve on the end of the fuel rail ,that's where i put my inline alcohol injection... if that's not your problem then dis-connect your battery and wait for at least an hour before you connect it again to reset your ECU ( DO NOT DIS-CONNECT WHILE THE CAR IS ON) then try to start it again if no go then try this one last thing get a new ECU cause that's the only other thing i can think of unless your firing order is messed up but the front of the motor should be 123 then the 2nd head should be 456 start from left to right on each set.. and if you have any other questions feel free to email me @ ballzbaile002@AOL.com
john..
make sure your coil wire is pluged in
check the coil pack. and look for an internal oil leak either thro the piston rings head gasket or valve guides
Obviously- the spark plugs were not the issue :)
you need spark, fuel and compression. You are missing one of those.
The first thing to check is the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Failing spark plugs/ wires are a common cause for a poor cold start condition. There may be a problem with the coolant temperature sensor. Have the sensor checked and the vehicle scanned, but don't over look the basics.
yes it does, every car has spark plugs or it wouldn't start.
Check the coil and replace if bad. Should fix the problem.
Have you alternator checked also starter my be going out.
My 93 camry has no power from the distributor to the spark plugs. The car unable to start.
I would start with the spark plugs. If they've never been replaced, they're over due.
No. There are not "spark plugs" on turbofan engines. There are ignitors, which help to ignite the fuel during start, but unlike spark plugs, ignitors do not run constantly.
I've got a 92 GS. Last summer I had replaced the spark plugs with Bosch Platinum plugs, and the car ran terribly. It sat over this winter and recently I couldn't get it to start every day. I replaced the plugs with cheap $2 plugs and now the car runs like new and starts every time. I suggest you start there.
