While the radiator and main hoses are generally near the front of the car, that is only a part of the car's cooling system. Included in that system are the heater lines and heater core. Look for smaller diameter hoses (about 3/4 to an inch in diameter) leading back to the firewall of your car, and inspect them for leaks. Hope this helps!
Because it leaked out, or was absorbed as the new radiator filled its voids. Just top it off, and observe during and after an engine thermal cycle, and top off as necessary until proper range is reached. Notice that the reservoir has "hot" and "cold" levels.
Check Your Waterpump
just make sure your block isn't cracked
Could be the water pump went out.
if you added coolant recently you may have overfilled it and it leaked through the radiator cap and it may cause white steam to bubble off nothing to worry to much about OR you may not have run it enough to pressurize the system enough to show a leak
Locate the radiator and the coolant reservoir box. Remove the lid of the coolant reservoir. Then remove the drain plug from the bottom of the radiator. When the fluid has leaked out, put the plug in place. Pour in a mixture of distilled water and antifreeze into the reservoir, according to your needs or the specifications. Run the engine for three minutes, then check the coolant level and add more if needed. Be careful not to remove the hose from the reservoir as the plastic nipple it is fastened to will easily break if too much force is used.
leaking heater core or hoses
you have a blown headgasket, or if it is has an automatic transmission, it is also possible that you may have transmission fluid in your radiator. this is caused by transmission fluid in part of your radiator leaked into your coolant
First, do not run engine. Second, determine where the coolant has leaked from. Third, consult a mechanic with your findings.
Your intake is probably cracked. I had the same problem as well as others on a 98 LeSabre. I could smell the antifreeze and the fluid leaked down.
Bottom leftside of the radiator, be sure not to over tighten. I did this and broke the drain cock and leaked all of the coolant, on a hot July afternoon in traffic. You know what happened next...
