There could be several reasons. First check the air pump. Start with the fuses, then the switch in the trunk. Then check the pump with direct current. If the pump works with a bypass, then check the leveling sensor at the rear suspension. If you find that it will be an expensive job to have the air suspension, then go the alternate route. Check out" Strutmasters " in the net. The air bags can be replaced with coil springs at a very low cost and never have problems again.Should you decide to replace the air bags with coil springs, you comfort of ride will be greatly reduced. Typically air ride suspension automatically adjusts for changes in the road.

No. If you shut it off, the back end will ride on the ground. The air ride is the suspension, the air bags replace coil springs. And, if you ever have major problems with it, look up strutmasters.com, and just replace the bags with real coil springs.
The air bags may need to be replaced. Check the air suspension switch and maybe the fuse that controls it.
To check the bags, soapy water them and if you see bubbles then you know you have a leak.
