You can, but you want to be sure the ceramic tile is not cracked or broken, make sure it is even, and not loose. It is reccomended that you you always remove any old tile before tiling. You can always lay a subfloor on top of the old tile to ensure your new tile was crack or pop out.

Technically you can but it is always reccomended that you remove the old tile before tiling the new tile. If the old tile is lose, uneven, or out of place it will cause the new tile to break or pop out. If you want, you can lay a subfloor on top of the old tile then place the new tile on top of that. This way you have a solid floor to lay the new tile on.

You can lay tile on top of tile but it is not recommended. If you old tile is uneven, broken, or loose it will cause your new tile to pop out, break, or become loose as well. You can lay a cement board down on top of the old tile to give your new tile a secure surface. But, you should always remove your old tile, if possible.

Ceramic bathroom wall tile? Floor tile? Actually, the answer would be the same, NO. Rip out the old, properly prep the backer, and do it right the first time. Either that, or do it wrong, then rip out everything, and do it right. It doesn't take any time to rip out old tile, in fact, it can be quite gratifying if you have some aggression to vent.......... just don't destroy the wall behind it!

It's best to start with a fresh installation whenever possible. This will ensure the longest life for your tiles, both aesthetically and practically. However, there may be times when you can install new tile over existing tile without damaging the existing tile or risking any future damage caused by moisture or other environmental factors.

Yes you can 'over-tile' using the same method you would if tiling directly onto concrete or dry wall.
