move the steering wheel while attempting to turn ignition key
Do you ever try by pressing the brakes and then turn back off the key ti works, or press the release transmission button, and turn back the key
Well sometimes the radio is hooked up to the ignition itself. It is just the ignition wire, if it has a disconnecting face plate then you can turn it off by taking the face plate off. Or if you would like, you can pull the radio out and disconnect the wire from the ignition and it will not still be on when you cut the truck off.
To test for security problem, turn the ignition to the on position, and look in the dash for the security light to go off after a few seconds. If it does not go off, you can try to reset it. Sometimes this can be done by leaving the ignition in the on position for about 45mins to an hour. Do not turn the ignition off. Instead, turn the key like you are trying to start it. If it starts, you have a problem with the built in security program on the computer. Sometimes it will not happen again, other times it may leave you stranded. If it is a security problem, the best thing to do is replace the computer, or have a dealership do so. No spark No fuel what could be the cause does it have a security system for the fuel No compression
Try twisting the steering wheel on the Chevrolet Equinox if you can't turn the key in the ignition. Sometimes when you twist the steering wheel pack and forth, it allows you to turn the key.

How can I take out the key from the ignition key in a BMW 325i 2001. I can turn on the engine but the key doesn't come out when I turn off.
Set your light switch to "auto" on the dash and your lights will come on automatically with the ignition. Turn your light switch on your dashboard to "auto" or "automatic" and the lights will come on and off with your ignition switch.
If your ignition will not turn, try turning the steering wheel slightly while you turn the key. Sometimes the steering wheel will get locked in place and doing this will allow the ignition to move again.
Yes, when you turn on the ignition the Check Engine light will come on for a few seconds to show you the light is working. It will go out if no problem is detected.
You need to turn the ignition to the on or start position, and then push the retaining pin to remove the cylinder. If you can not turn it, then you can either drill it out, or call a locksmith to come asist you.
Put the key in your ignition, turn it so the dashboard lights come on, without starting the car. A yellow light saying ABS will come on if you have antilock. Also sometimes the car manufactures put ABS on the break pedal.
Does the engine turn over every time you try, or does it sometimes do nothing when you turn the key?
Try turning your steering wheel side to side. It sometimes locks up and won't let you turn ur key
Sometimes the Steering wheel lock will rest on the locking mechanism and not let you turn the ignition switch. Try turning the wheel one way or the other to relieve the pressure while tuning the ignition switch. If this does not work then you may either have a worn out ignition swtch, Key, or there is a mechanical failure of the switch.
Use a screw driver to turn it on and off lol its not gonna come out
That is normal but, when you start the engine the light should go out.
I have a '97 Chrysler Cirrus it happens to sometimes. Try to turn the steering wheel back and forth as you turn the key.
it's probably either the ignition relay or the fuel pump relay.
Just had the same problem with mine...if it will not turn over sometimes then it is your ignition switch. If it does turn over everytime check your stater, starter cylinoid, alternator and battery.
