What were Adolf Hitler's racial beliefs?

Unlike history would love us to believe, Hitler was just your average kind of guy and certainly not a genius.

Hitler was a scrawny kid while growing up and detested by his father and smothered by his mother. He didn't get along well with his father and had a love/hate relationship with his mother. When she died he was devastated. His mother did not appear to be the type of woman who was snobbish, but somewhere along the line Hitler's ego began to get the best of him. There is no doubt in many historian's minds that Hitler had some psychological issues that should have been attended too.

Hitler hated the Jews from a very early age. It is not known why or how he came to the conclusion that Jews were taking over all business' and were hoarding all the money in Germany. That's why Hitler had a passion for stealing precious art, money, jewelry and any other thing of importance he could get his hands on during those dreaded war years. (Most of this art has since been returned to art museums and some families, but it took years to locate some of it. Many pieces of art still have not been located.)

In WW1 Hitler was temporarily blinded from an explosion (he was actually terrified of fighting in that war) and when he had his hospital stay some historians believe he was brain-washed (as many other German soldiers were) that they were the "best in the world" so to speak. They became "killing machines." It took several years and much humiliation on Hitler's part to become the head of the worst blight of history the world has ever seen.

Myself, since studying this man in the past I thought once he could have been a genius and made a difference in the world if he had been a good guy, but now I realize he simply was a mad man and had serious psychological problems.

A lot of what has been posted above is correct to a degree but it is not right to dimiss Adolf Hitler as a simple power hungry psychopath. He gambled a lot in his rise to power over the Reich but all his chance taking aside, the man was simply a nationalist. At this time, he had strict views on the world. Whether this stemmed from psychological instability we can't be sure, but he was personally a very determined and high-handed man who was narcisistic enough to believe his ideals were better than anyone elses. No Hitler was not a mad man but rather a patriot whose luck was immense in his rise to power and actions over the world and Europe.

1. He wanted Germany and all other German speaking countries such as Austria to rise to power and join to form what he called "The Third Reich".

2. He wanted to conquer all close countries to Germany so he could get "Lebensraum" which was living space for all Germans where they could grow.

3. He was mad that Germany was blamed for World War 1 and had to pay for the repairs.

4. He wanted to get back at the alliance forces that consisted of France, Italy, America and Britain for defeating him and making Germany having to pay.

5.He wanted Germany to be the ultimate super power.

6. He wanted to restored Germany's pride and dignity.

1. He wanted all of the "undesirables" like Jews, Black People, Homosexuals, Mentally Ill, Disabled and Romas to be killed.

2. He found Jews to be evil beings who should be destroyed.

3. He thought that all Germans especially those with blonde hair and blue eyes were the "Master Race" and others should be like them.

4. He wanted to enforce all of Europe to be under the control of his Aryan leaders.

5. He views the Jews to not to be a religious group but to be a poisonous race which would soon weaken the German Aryan Race if nothing was going to be done about the issue.

He played upon the fears and antisemitism already inherent in the German people. His Propaganda focused on the differences between the Jewish people and the Aryans: their difference in appearance, their cultural differences, their rituals, etc.
