There was the racism with the Japanese Candadians that were boen and lived in Canada. This was greatly influenced the West Coast and Mainly British Columbia, since many Japanese Candadians had owned fisheries that were taken away from them without questioning. Many communities had been wiped away, because since the Japanese had allied with the Nazi party, Japanese Candadians were seen as spies and "enemy aliens" to the Canadian Government. I think that this had shaped Canada to be more or somewhat accepting of the non-white race after the war.

Canada was reluctant to be involved in the war in Europe just as the United States was adamant not to go to war. The senselessness of World War 1 had affected both Canada and the USA. The Canadians however did not have a choice about not going to fight in Europe because they were subjects of the United Kingdom and the King of England. Some Canadians were willing to join up in the Royal forces others had to be drafted. The men fought valiantly and victory went to the Allied Forces. Canada was glad they defeated the evil Nazis after they learned of the concentration camps, murders, atrocities and bad treatment of the POWs. They and the Americans had not understood just how oppressive, tyrannical and brutal the Nazi really were. Many Canadians earn medals for their valor.

Both English and french canadians fought in World War I why do you think that Canada got involved to fight in World War I?

When England went to war, all of the British Empire went to war. Canada is essentially a British providence. Canada, New Zealand, India, parts of Africa, Australia...you name it, they went to war. If Britain has some control on what happens in a country, then they've most likely colonized there and it's part of the British Empire. Also, the Central Powers in World War 1 had invaded France. The French-Canadians couldn't have been to happy about that.
