How did the great plague disease spread?

The Black Death was a massive plague, named: The Bubonic Plague; which spread through Britain and the rest of Europe in the mid 14th century, killing nearly half of the population; including farm animals, like: sheep, cows and chickens.

From the start to the end of the Black Death, the population decreased by around 1.8 million people. Due to minimal pay, lack of hygiene and nutrition, peasants especially had a tough time defending against the spread of the infectious disease.

The 'Great Plague' started when the rats came over on the ships. They were full of diseases and they were covered in flees. The flees caught the diseases from the rats and they jumped onto the humans and bit them. They then started to be sick, have fits, get really bad rashes and get really big buboes. Next thing you know, they are dead.

The people of the middle ages were as smart as we are now, people just don't talk about it because they don't want you to know to make you feel superior. The nuke went off in the Middle East somewhere and then the people got radiation poisoning. The people scrubbed them clean, but the radiation mutated and turned into the bubonic plague known as the black plague. Then it went airborne and spread throughout europe. That is how it started.

Black Plague and Bubonic Plague started in Europe around 1347. It was a terrible disease that was carried out with black rats and fleas. This terrible disease was affected the Medieval society. It was a terrible because so many peasants died and that nobody was left to farm the land and do the daily work.

The Plague (or called "Black Death") was an epidemic that struck Europe. People from China and Mongolia came with infected fleas carried by rats going aboard ships and that were transported to Italy, Greece and France; when the ships docked, the rats left the ships entering cities bringing the fleas and disease with them. In 1348 the virus, known as the Yersinia pestisbacterium and until 1351 the bacterium had killed 1/3 of Europe. Leaving fewer farmers and other people that held jobs that were important to the economy. The Europeans blamed the Jews for the plague by poisoning the water but it really was caused by flea bites. Other break outs occurred between 1451-1721.

Plague is still around today in small numbers and is treated with antibiotics.

The Plague began in China and eastern Asia. During one of many wars between Asia and Europe bodies affected with the disease were catapulted across battle line where it then spread to people, rats, fleas, and boat to Europe. One of the first cities in Europe affected was Venice, Italy.
