Well some GM rear disc brakes require that you screw in the calipers. Most disc brakes are a cup shaped that you press back in (I use a large C-clamp). But if they are solid across the face and have slots/groves, then you have to 'turn' them back in. You can go to your local parts store and buy a funny looking tool that looks like a cube with different nubs. Or you can try to use a set of needle nose pliers or some other tools to turn then (clockwise) back in. Otherwise the only hard part is getting the caliper over the rotor as you battle with the stiff emergency brake.
