Inside the alternator.
The regulator is the part that raises the window. Can be a notched curved piece and a X shaped arm that raises the window or a plastic strip that runs in a grove. The motor can be changed. I belive regulator and the motor are both held in by rivots. These can be drilled out and replaced with bolts.
i found it totally easier to by-pass the switch than to try to repair it just cut it and splice , i did and its been perfect since
where is the fuel fiter located on a 1989 buick century wagon 2.5l 4cyl, and how do i go about replacing it.
Drop the fuel tank.
When you find that out,PLEASE let me know,OK?
The voltage regulator on a 1989 Chevy Camaro is inside of the alternator. If you are having issues, such as flickering lights, you might have to replace the entire alternator.
Yes you do and its a pain
The plastic strip is not replaceable since the strip isn't available as a separate part. The regulator assembly which contains the strip is what needs replaced.
