Unbolt and remove
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1996 Chevrolet blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the blower motor. Reverse the process to install your new blower motor.
To replace a blower motor in a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado first remove the old blower motor. Then install the new motor making sure to connect all the wires.

It's located under the glove box just above the floorboard. There is a cover that has to be removed and if my memory serves me, there are 5 bolts that hold the motor in place. It's not a big job to replace at all. Good Luck.
