Remove slave and master cylinder from vehicle. Have someone stand on ladder holding master cylinder. Have someone work slave cylinder back and forth to force air out of system.
The clutch is not adjustable. The hydraulic master/slave cylinder assembly self compensates for wear. You have a problem with the clutch of master/slave.
from the furthest caliper from the master cylinder. Start with that one and move closer.
How do you replace a slave cylinder on a 1995 dodge neon clutch
You have to remove the clutch master cylinder, position it in a way that allows the air to escape upward, fill the system with new fluid, then disconnect the clutch slave cylinder and work the rod slowly in and out while refilling the system. The aftermarket parts guys sell an all in one pre-filled kit for around $170 but I changed the parts individually and bled it in the truck using the above detailed process with much sucess.
Get clear hose and put on slave cylinder bleeder screw and put other end in glass container, have someone push clutch pedal to floor and hold, then open bleeder screw and watch for air to come out,do this until no more air is seen coming out, make sure the clutch master cylinder has plenty of fluid at all times. Also dont reuse fluid.
you are wrong, you don't have a bleeder valve The system was designed to be factory filled and bled. No bleed screw. You can bleed the system but it requires dismantling the slave and master cylinders and is not recommended
you dont
Either you have to pull off the old clutch assembly(Master, slave cylinders, reservoir and the line),since its a factory sealed unit and replace with a new one or one from another vehicle, or , see if a parts store has the new ones out. The slave cylinder is the one with the bleeder valve. I have a 91 d150 Im trying to get the clutch to work in.
Remove electrical connections from old master cylinder remove and plug brake lines remove mounting bolts and pull off from brake booster BENCH BLEED new master cylinder prior to installing Install in reverse order of removal If bench bled properly should not have to bleed brake lines
There are no adjustments on a HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM. The clutch disc is ether worn out, or the clutch slave cylinder is going bad. Is the clutch master cylinder full of fluid ?? If not there is a leak in the system, and you are not depressing the throw out bearing far enough. and that makes it hard to shift.
It is not adjustable. It uses a hydraulic master/slave cylinder assembly that automatically takes up any slack.
