The parking brake adjustment for the 2003-2007 Honda accord with rear disc brake's are as followed.I will say and this is per a true Honda shop manual 7-9 clicks is considered the normal setting for applying the emergency brake fully engaged.Granted owning a 2004 since New 4-5 clicks tend to be the norm in my ownership of said car for 12 years now.Simply jack the car up and remove the rear wheels, place jack stands to support the car safely.Step 1 is pull the emergency brake handle up 1 click(ONLY)!!!!! Then go and turn the rotor/hub to verify a slight drag on each side. There should be a mild drag that can be moved by hand. Then apply the parking brake up to say 5 clicks to see if the rotor stops moving with any hand force. If both sides are locked tight NO adjustment is needed. If your parking brake is beyond the Honda specs of 7-9 clicks then you would have to remove the center console.Once this is removed you will see both left and right side emergency brake cables and 1 nut that either add's tension or reduce's it.Moving the nut toward the dash tighten's the cable evenly for the left and right rear brakes. For example if you set the e-brake 1 click and one side grabs and has a slight drag, but the opposing side does not try this.Release the park brake and adjust the nut, notice IF the cable pulls evenly both sides. If it pulls more to one side it could indicate either your cable on the side using more slack is stretched OR your park brake mechanism on the caliper is defective.I just had this exact scenario park brake on lhs pulled more on the adjustment after new rotors and pads and new caliper.(caliper piston froze).Replaced caliper but had a malfunction with the new reman caliper as it pulled the cable more on the lhs and park brake did not work period. The quick replaced the 1st reman caliper with #2 reman caliper as the park brake mechanism was a bad new part.I know I am adding way too much information, but the simple is IF your park brake is with in spec leave it be as long as both wheels lock as mentioned.I do have a video walking thru the steps but, will not link my YouTube page and just say search 2003-2007 Honda accord rear disc brake caliper.
