you can not adjust them they are self adjusting if they are loose you have to replace them you can adjust them, you must open up the rear tire, take off the brake drum this might require hammering if they havn't been taking off for a long time, then you will find a a small circulaur object that looks like a gear, turn it so it clicks, every click will tighten it, DO NOT over tighten it, then you will have to lift the small tab and spin the gear thing the other way.
