how to replace passengerside outside mirror
This is a major mechanical project. Remove the clutch and manual transmission and the radiator. Install automatic transmission, new driveshaft, new radiator. You have just spent as much as a car is worth.
# Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel. # Unfasten brake caliper assembly, leaving brake line attached. # Remove tie-rod ball joint from knuckle, then separate driveshaft from steering knuckle by tapping on driveshaft. When removing driveshafts, cover boots with cloth to prevent damage. # On models with automatic transaxle , if replacing both driveshafts, remove righthand driveshaft before removing lefthand driveshaft. # Use a large screwdriver to pry driveshaft out of transaxle. # Reverse procedure to install.
You may need to change the length of the driveshaft, move the crossmember back some, and you may need a switch kit for the lock-up converter.
Mark driveshaft and yoke to re-isntall in same location to maintain factory balance Loosen and remove small "U" clamps at yoke end of driveshaft Pry driveshaft out of yoke Pull off of splined end
The splines on the transmissions were the driveshaft slides into are different on the 350 and 400 turbo's So that means you will have to change the yoke on the end of the driveshaft.
Answer this question...pop driveshaft out bud
you have to drop the entire pan since there is no plug and you might as well change the filter and gasket while you have it off
there is no 2.0l Pontiac lemans.it must be a swap from sunrunner.
Mark drive shaft and yoke to re-install in the same location to maintain factory balance Remove and discard small "U" bolts that hold driveshaft Pry driveshaft out of yoke Drop driveshaft Bring to auto parts/machine shop to have "U" joint pressed into driveshaft Replace "U" bolts Re-install driveshaft in same position as removed
change car buy new one
Mark driveshaft, yoke, and transmission tailpiece so driveshaft will be re-installed in same location to maintain factory balance Remove and discard small "U" bolts at differential yoke Pry driveshaft out of yoke and up on to transmission tailpiece Pull driveshaft off of transmission Easiest to bring driveshaft to auto parts/machine shop to have new "u" joint pressed into driveshaft Replace in reverse order using new "u" bolts
