I did this change a couple of years ago. remove the glove box. The filter is behind there, but a bad design requires some framing members to be unscrewed to allow the filter to come straight towards back of car. This took me a bit of time I remember.
Watch the Youtube video on 'CRV cabin filter replacement'... it is done on a 2005 CRV....
The filter is located behind the glovebox just unclip the filter to remove it
How do I change my fuel filter on my 2002 Honda crv? Where is it located at? How do I change my fuel filter on my 2002 Honda crv? Where is it located at?
98 do not have cabin filter. This is not correct. I have a 1998 CRV EX 4wd and just changed the filter. The filter is behind the glove box. It required that I unscrew quite a bit of the dash framing. Wasn't real difficut but it was time consuming. Took a couple of hours. Mike Dallas Texas

How to change air filter on 2006 Honda CRV SE?
I've never seen a Honda which has a tranny filter. Just a drain plug and that's it. There is no drain pan, therefore you can't take off a drain pan to change the filter (if it had one). I own a 2002 CRV and a 97 accord. You can purchase a filter at any auto parts store, they are about $12.00. And yes the 1999 cr-v does have a filter, it is located on top of tranny.
No. DO NOT ATTEMPT IT!
The current factory recommended interval is 105,000 miles.
how hard is it to replace a rear wheel bearing 1999 Honda crv. this crv does not have rear axle's in it. thank you
Yes.
The 2002 Honda CRV does not have a timing belt, it uses a chain that normally will last the life of the engine if oi/filter are changed according to the manufacures recommedations.
