I found Castrol Synthetic Oil meets the Volkswagen Passat requirements per the Passat manual. I found it at an Advance Auto Parts store.
I havn't checked the drain plug location or type, or the filter location.
you need to drop the transmisison oil pan,
engine oil (with oil filter) approx. 4.4 qts
This vehicle requires the use of 100% synthetic oil. Change it at the interval recommended in your owners manual.
6 quarts.
take the bulb out
it takes 5 lit.
For the 2.8 v6 its 6.5 qts with oil and filter change.
5w30 Mobil 1 and all others listed in owners manual, every 5k or sooner, ck occasionally since these turbo engines tend to use oil sometimes.
To change the oil on a 2007 Passat 3.6 liter engine first safely raise the vehicle and drain all the oil from the oil pan by removing the drain bolt. Install the drain bolt, and remove the oil filter. Replace the filter and oil. Then lower the vehicle.
Change it according to what VW recommends as listed in your owners manual.
How do you reset change oil indecator for caprice 2006?
The 2006 Jetta requires about 6 litres. The Passat should be very close. Any local auto store can tell you the exact amount needed.
