90% of the time it's going to the dealer.If it's on then, there is a underlying problem.I own a 92 Buick LaSabre with pass key II ,light was on for about a year with no problems.Then one day it would not start.It's extremely expensive at a dealer to have it worked on.The module box is going out more than likely.Find a local car electical shop,I'm having mine by-passed for $90.No more light,chip in the key no more headaches.Hope to help a little???
