The 1996 Honda Accord transmission has a fluid capacity of 5.3 quarts. You can check the transmission fluid level with the transmission fluid dipstick.
Use only genuine Honda DW-1 automatic transmission fluid and nothing else.
Same place you check the fluid level.
doesnt have one it is a sealed non serviceable unit
The recommended transmission fluid for a 1996 Civic is Dexron II or IID transmission fluid. Do not use Mercon fluid as it has a different formulation and may cause harm to the transmission.
Hi. I own a 96 Passport, according to the Hayes repair manual I have it says the transmissions from 1996--> & up use a "sealed transmission" & not to attempt to add fluid unless you have the proper tools, to-wit a special thermometer & you must preheat the tranny fluid to between 90-to-130 degrees and then using a syringe add fliud through he overfill screw hole on the pan until it starts to run out.. Good Luck...
It should be changed every 30,000 miles.
The fuel filter on a 1996 Honda Passport is located underneath the vehicle close to the gas tank. The filter will have bolts holding it in.
The 1996 Honda Civic 1.6 liter MFI SOHC 4-cylinder with the automatic transmission model A4RA need 2.9 quarts of transmission fluid for a fluid change. The total capacity is 6.2 quarts.
You can use any SAE certified manual transmission fluid in your 1996 Ford manual transmission. Make sure you use manual transmission fluid and not automatic transmission fluid.
