If the light is really old or been subject to chemical abuse by the pool water then you will probably have to replace the light. If the light is in good shape you can get a screw extractor from the hardware store just be careful not to strip the threads out!
open the hatch there are two screws remove them and the tail light will come out, after that there are three more screws remove them and you can get to the bulbs to replace them

Pop the hood. Remove the plug from the back of the headlight. From the front of the light, You will see three screws above the light. The center screw is for adjustment Don't touch it! Remove the two screws above the light (1 left and 1 right). Pull the light downward. The light should hinge at the bottom and pop out. If the light does not come out then remove the two screws under the light. Remember to pull the light downward grabbing the top of the light. Retain the screws! There are two adjustment screws. One centered above the light and one centered on the side of the light. DO NOT REMOVE THESE SCREWS! It is a pain getting them back in and easy to lose the plastic retaining clips on the back.

Open trunk, there should be a few screws that hold tail light assembly to car. Remove screws and pull tail light assemble straight back.
Remove the two screws. Then remove the light housing. The bulb is right there, pull it out. Cheers
on the hatch back there is a cover on the door under the light remove it. there are three screws that hold the 3rd light on remove them. unhook the wire harness. remove the small screws from the 3rd light and pull it open. there you can unscrew the light and replace it.
IN THE TRUNK, REMOVE PANEL NEAR REAR LIGHTS. IF THE BACK OF THE BULBS ARE VISIABLE THEY ARE EASY TO REMOVE. IF NOT, CHECK FOR SCREWS THAT HOLD THE TAIL LIGHT CLUSTER IN PLACE. REMOVE SCREWS, REMOVE CLUSTER, REMOVE BULB. I HOPE THIS HELP. GOOD LUCK.
remove the torx head retaining screws and remove the bezel. remove retainer screws but dont touch the adjustment screws and pull out headlight then unplug . replace light, plug it in and secure it. then replace bezel and its retaining screws.
Remove the two screws in the lens. You can remove the entire assembly once you do this.

To replace the headlight bulbs on a olds ciera remove the park light then remove the 4 screws that hold the composite in pull the composite light out and then you can change the bulbs it is really easy to do just remove the park light and you will see the screws
