Turn switch to on position.Then insert 1/8" punch or Phillips screw driver into the hole in the bottom steering column cover,( just in front of steering wheel) and into the release spring in the switch casting.Pull the cylinder straight out.To replace it ,hold the spring retainer in and slide cylinder straight in till the retainer clicks into place.
The 1994 Pontiac Grand Am ignition lock cylinder is held in place by the retaining ring at the top of the cylinder. Remove the retaining ring. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the cylinder.

Begin by removing the retaining ring at the top of your 1994 Ford ignition lock cylinder. The ignition lock cylinder will slide out. Remove the wiring harness from the end of the ignition lock cylinder. Reverse the process to install your new ignition lock cylinder.

Unfortunately you have to remove the tank, siphon as much as you can and then remove the tank.

You will need to remove the cylinder head from your 1994 Chevy. Remove the head gasket and clean the surface. Put the new head gasket on and put the cylinder head back to its original position.
You can replace the ignition lock cylinder in your 1994 Pontiac Firebird without removing the steering will. Remove the retaining ring at the top of the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder will slide out.
Remove clutch cable connection and then remove slave cylinder line from master. Then unbolt slave master and remove it. Follow same procedure in reverse order.
If you mean the back brakes, I have a 1994 Lincoln Continental. To replace the pads on the back, I had to buy a special tool to depress the cylinder. Its a screw type cylinder and had to have this tool to put new pads on.
remove cover under stearing wheel and look to your right you will see a small box unplug and remove
YOU ONLY HAVE TO REMOVE THE OIL PAN.
