- follow steps 1-4 - once you get the black trim plate off, the stock radio is held in place by 4 nut/screws. - remove the nut/screws - pull the stock radio out - disconnect the harness - disconnect the antenna - disconnect any auxiliary input devices (i.e. CD changer) if you have them

- when you go to put your new deck in, just follow these steps in reverse

The Blower - heat and vebt control unit under the radio is a one piece unit the is held inplace by locking arms thatonthe left and right side of the unit The can be loosened and the unit remover by carefully apply pressure to the top left than the top right sides After it is removed you can access the 4 sheet metal bolts that hold the radio in plkace and pull it out This is not hard to do - just be careful when removing the control unit also a special tool can be purcahsed at local auto parts stores used to remove side panels in doors - this can also be used to remove the control unit Here are some step by step instructions on removing and installing the stereo in your 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Toyota Tacoma: http://www.tacotunes.com/installation/tacomadash/

Pop off the A/C Control knobs, then remove the screws. Then remove the a/c assembly, more screws, then it slides out.

TAke off the panel that surrongs the stereo - then you'll see 4 bolts/screws holding the stereo once these are removed stereo slides out easily.
