How do you remove a front rotor on a 1993 F 150 4X4
Remove brake caliper, then caliper mounting. Now tap back of rotor to remove it. Now undo large nut holding hub and pull hub off. Replace in reverse order.
Take the brake caliper off and it should slide right off or i might have two screws in the rotor in the center of it
The rotor and hub is an assembly, you need to take the wheel off, remove the brake caliper, use a hex drive to remove the lockout assembly, then there is a special socket you need to use to remove the bolt holding the hub in place.
# Raise and safely support the vehicle securely on jackstands. # Remove the brake caliper assembly. # Remove the front disc brake caliper anchor plate. # Remove the hub grease cap. # Remove the cotter pin. # Remove the spindle nut. # Remove the front wheel outer bearing retainer washer. # Remove the outer front wheel bearing. # Remove the hub grease cap gasket. # Remove the front disc brake hub and rotor. # Remove the wheel hub grease seal. # Remove the inner front wheel bearing.
2 OR 4 WD? AND WHAT YEAR?
Remove Wheels Make sure Emergency brakeis released Remove caliper mounting bolts Remove caliper Remove Rotor Re-install caliper Remove brake pads Use special tool (available at Sears or auto parts not expensive) to retract piston into caliper (Threads in clockwise) Replace pads and re-assemble
1.Take off the tire... there will be little washers ont the wheel studs remove and discard there not needed 2.Take the caliper off the mounting bracket 3.remove the bracket ...and pull off the rotor
you have to press the wheel studs out of hub after you remove it from the spindle
remove the wheel and and caliper from the wheel and you should be able to beat it right off depending on how many times you have had them rotated cause they will be easier to remove
please tell me how to remove the bering and rotor?how do i get the answer?
Make sure that under the rotor it is not draging on the rotor debree cleaner. I bent mine toward the motor and it stopped making a noise. If its the brakes dragging for sure you need to change the caliper.
